A Taste of a New Orleans Dinner
During the same night in New Orleans as the day that I had ordered an alligator sausage omelette at a cafe for breakfast, we had visited a very good restaurant for dinner entitled Oceana. As the name might mean, the menu from the restaurant had consisted of a lot of great cajun seafood dishes encompassing a linguini pasta dish with crawfish tails, Gulf shrimp, and andouille sausage which I had ultimately ended up ordering. Because the alligator sausage omelette that I had eaten earlier that day had exceeded my expectations, I had high expectations for the pasta. Honestly, the pasta, sauce, seafood, and sausage were a bit too spicy for my taste albeit the meat being very good. I suppose that I should have expected that level and degree of spiciness given that it is a Louisiana restaurant and that the food in Louisiana is going to be spicy. I might have been expecting it to be a bit more mild than it was.
